In response to irregularities, the Election Commission has mandated re-voting at six polling stations in the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency. Citing void voting at these stations, the Commission invoked Section 58A (2) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, announcing fresh elections to be conducted on April 30 from 7 am to 4 pm. Chief Electoral Officer Pradeep Kumar Jha has urged voters to participate actively in exercising their franchise at these centers.

This decision follows earlier incidents of violence during the initial polling phase on April 19, which prompted re-polling at 11 stations in the Interior Manipur constituency on April 22. With the next phase slated for May 7 and results expected to be declared on June 4, the Election Commission aims to ensure fair and transparent electoral processes in Manipur.
